INNOVET LATAM travels to Guatemala, in a further demonstration of the value of international cooperation between Europe and Latin America

The experience served to reinforce the international nature of the consortium of organisations involved in the project, and once again highlighted the importance of creating sustainable collaborative networks between educational institutions, social organisations and public authorities in order to strengthen vocational education and training in Latin America ECCA Social, the coordinating body for INNOVET LATAM, took part in the international mobility event held in Guatemala from 13 to 18 April 2026, which brought together European and Latin American partners with the shared aim of advancing the improvement of vocational education and training (VET) in Guatemala and Venezuela. The mobility programme took place between Guatemala City and Antigua Guatemala, and included institutional meetings, training activities, visibility initiatives and opportunities for exchange between the participating organisations. Various activities took place during the week: INNOVET LATAM is a project funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme, which aims to strengthen Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Guatemala and Venezuela in order to boost socio-economic development in rural and disadvantaged areas. The project promotes public-private and cross-border cooperation through innovative methodologies and practical tools aligned with EU frameworks, such as the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), ESCO and EntreComp. It focuses on developing operational solutions to modernise VET systems and better align them with the needs of the labour market. Its ultimate aim is to build a lasting bridge between the VET ecosystems of Latin America and Europe. Further information is available on the project website.

Internet Web Solutions Showcases Upskilling Rural in 2 Multiplier Events Reaching 36 Young Participants

Internet Web Solutions (IWS) successfully presented the Upskilling Rural project during two multiplier events held on 18 and 19 May 2026, engaging a total of 36 young participants with a strong interest in developing entrepreneurial initiatives in rural environments. The first event took place on 18 May at the premises of IWS’s associated partner Arrabal and gathered 23 participants. Attendees were predominantly young people from rural areas who expressed a clear motivation to launch or develop entrepreneurial projects. The second event was held on 19 May at the Youth Centre of the Alhaurín de la Torre City Council, a municipality in the province of Málaga, and brought together 13 young people, all of whom live in rural settings. Participant recruitment for both sessions was carried out through the social media channels of Internet Web Solutions and its associated partners, ensuring targeted outreach to young people interested in entrepreneurship and professional development in rural contexts. Each session followed a structured and participatory format. The events began with an introduction to the overall objectives of the project, highlighting its focus on empowering young people in rural areas through accessible, high-quality digital training. This was followed by a detailed presentation of the free online training courses available on the project platform, as well as an explanation of the learning pathway required to achieve the “Rural Champion” certification. Participants were also introduced to selected activities included in the “Events & Holidays” section of the platform, designed to complement the training content and foster engagement through interactive and experiential learning. The presentations combined PowerPoint resources with live demonstrations of the project’s online platform, allowing participants to explore the tools and materials in a practical and intuitive way. After the presentations, attendees were divided into several focus groups to encourage open discussion. These group sessions focused on the main difficulties young people face when attempting to start a business in rural areas, as well as on the perceived usefulness of the project’s content in addressing these challenges. The discussions provided valuable qualitative insights into real barriers such as limited access to resources, lack of tailored training, and isolation from entrepreneurial networks. The events concluded with a plenary feedback session, during which participants were invited to share their opinions on the relevance of the training topics, the quality and clarity of the materials, the most interesting aspects of the project, and areas for potential improvement. Participants were also asked to reflect on which elements of the training they could realistically apply in their daily lives. Overall feedback was highly positive. Participants particularly appreciated the diversity of the content, its practical orientation, and the gamification elements integrated into the platform, which were seen as key factors in making learning more engaging and applicable to real-life entrepreneurial contexts. Several participants highlighted the direct usefulness of the project for rural entrepreneurship: “The content is very practical and realistic. It doesn’t just talk about entrepreneurship in theory, but shows concrete steps that I can apply to start a project in my village.” “What I found most valuable is that the courses are adapted to rural realities. Many examples and tools are things I can actually use where I live, not just in big cities.” “The platform helped me understand that entrepreneurship in rural areas is possible. The gamified activities and practical exercises make it easier to learn and stay motivated.” Through these multiplier events, Internet Web Solutions reaffirmed its commitment to supporting young people in rural areas by providing accessible training, practical tools, and a clear learning pathway to foster entrepreneurship and professional development beyond urban environments.

SIMPLE Partners Meet in Warsaw to Advance Piloting and Stakeholder Engagement

On 31 March 2026, the partners of the SIMPLE project gathered in Warsaw, Poland, for the third Transnational Project Meeting, hosted by Customized Training Solutions (CTS). The meeting represented a key milestone in the project’s implementation, providing an opportunity to review progress across the work packages and gain a deeper understanding of the ongoing pilot activities in Poland and Italy. A central focus of the meeting was the presentation of piloting progress and preliminary results by CTS (Poland) and HOPE Ukraine (Italy), the two partners directly involved in testing the SIMPLE model on the ground. The discussion highlighted how the project’s Theory of Change, developed under WP2, is now being translated into concrete actions, adapted to local contexts. In Poland, CTS is implementing an employment activation model inspired by the BSI_4Women initiative, focusing on supporting Ukrainian refugee women through tailored employability pathways, coaching, and skills development. Initial data shared during the meeting showed that participants are actively engaging in structured activities such as skills assessment, training sessions, and career planning, with many already developing business ideas. Examples of emerging ideas include services in care, education, and small entrepreneurship, demonstrating strong motivation toward economic independence. In Italy, HOPE Ukraine is adapting elements of the SIREE initiative, combining empowerment, entrepreneurship support, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen refugees’ autonomy and integration. Particular emphasis is placed on building local networks, engaging employers and community actors, and fostering inclusive narratives around refugee participation in the labour market. Beyond piloting, the consortium conducted a peer review of WP2 outcomes and advancement of WP3, which is now entering its final phase. Particular attention was given to the identification of stakeholders’ capacities and gaps, which will be essential for designing targeted capacity-building actions and ensuring project sustainability. By combining evidence-based design with real-world testing and continuous stakeholder engagement, the SIMPLE project continues to build a replicable and scalable model for refugee integration, capable of generating long-term impact across different contexts. UNITY EUROPE Project Announces Successful Validation of Innovative Digital and Gamified Integration Tools for Young Migrants

The UNITY EUROPE consortium (Project No: 2023-2-FR02-KA220-YOU-000174752) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its pan-European piloting and validation phase. Following months of intensive testing across Cyprus, France, Spain, and Türkiye, the project has confirmed the high efficacy of its innovative pedagogical resources in fostering the social and professional integration of young migrants and marginalized youth. Addressing the critical intersections of digital exclusion, employability, and psychosocial well-being, UNITY EUROPE has developed a comprehensive learning ecosystem. This includes a multilingual Open Educational Resources (OER) Platform and the UNITY Card Game, a gamified methodology designed to facilitate dialogue on complex social issues such as inclusion, civic values, and discrimination. Empirical Validation and Key Performance Indicators The piloting phase involved a diverse cohort of 130 participants, including young adults (aged 18–30) and professional youth workers. The cross-national results indicate a transformative impact on learner confidence and technical proficiency: A Strategic Step Toward Inclusive Youth Work “The piloting phase has demonstrated that combining structured digital learning with gamified, interactive methodologies is not just effective—it is essential for reaching vulnerable youth populations,” stated a project spokesperson. “The feedback from over 100 professionals and learners validates that UNITY EUROPE tools are scalable, transferable, and ready for long-term integration into European youth work programs”. SIMPLE Project Raises Awareness at Key Local Events in Málaga

The SIMPLE project continues to strengthen its visibility and outreach through active participation in relevant local events aimed at promoting innovation, inclusion, and social engagement. As part of its dissemination activities, the project was presented at two major events held in Málaga (Spain), reaching diverse audiences and reinforcing its commitment to social impact. Opportunity Morning 2025 The SIMPLE project was showcased on October 30th at Opportunity Morning 2025, an event hosted at Mangas Verdes and organised by Asociación Arrabal-AID, which brought together around 800 young people interested in new technologies, artificial intelligence, and dual vocational training. During the event, IT Solutions For All, partner organisation of the SIMPLE project, hosted an information stand where attendees were introduced to the organisation’s mission and activities. Visitors to the stand received detailed information about the SIMPLE project, its objectives, and its role in social innovation. The stand served as a direct point of contact with young participants, encouraging dialogue and raising awareness of the opportunities offered by the project. XXI Málaga Voluntaria Awards Gala The SIMPLE project was also promoted on December 4th, 2025, at the XXI Málaga Voluntaria Awards Gala, an event organised by Málaga City Council to recognise and celebrate volunteering initiatives across the city. Representatives of the project attended the gala and distributed informational leaflets about SIMPLE among attendees. This activity allowed the project to reach a broad audience of institutional representatives, volunteers, and organisations involved in social action, further strengthening its visibility within the local volunteering and social innovation ecosystem. SIMPLE concludes Work Package 2 and sets the stage for the next phase of activities

The SIMPLE project has concluded Work Package 2 (WP2), laying the foundation for a scalable and transferable model to support the labour market integration and social inclusion of Ukrainian refugees across Europe. As part of WP2, the consortium conducted a comprehensive mapping of over 80 social innovation initiatives across Europe. The selection included projects supported by EU programmes – such as EaSI, Urban Innovative Actions (UIA), Erasmus+, and Interreg – as well as national and regional initiatives from partner countries. This mapping aimed to identify both inspiring practices and systemic challenges in the fields of integration, employment, and inclusion. The complete repository of mapped initiatives is accessible here: https://simpleinnovation.eu/repository.php?lang=EN From this broader repository, the consortium extracted 13 best practices that were particularly well-documented, impactful, and aligned with the SIMPLE project’s objectives. These are analysed in depth in another key project deliverable: The Social Innovation Compendium, available at: https://simpleinnovation.eu/assessment.php?lang=EN Among the 13, three model initiatives were selected as the primary inspiration for the development of SIMPLE’s Theory of Change: The Theory of Change, available on the project website, outlines how the SIMPLE model is expected to generate meaningful and sustainable impact. Drawing on selected elements of the three model initiatives, it proposes an adaptable, modular approach that can be tailored to diverse national and local contexts.  This Theory of Change will serve as the foundation for the stakeholders’ engagement activities to be performed in all partner countries under WP3 and pilot actions to be carried out in Poland and Italy under WP4. In these two countries, partners will: In Poland, the focus will be on employment activation, while in Italy, activities will revolve around empowerment and entrepreneurship pathways. Eureca. IWS has held several multiplier events

Internet Web Solutions (IWS) has successfully organized two public events to present the Eureca project, including its objectives and results, to a non-professional audience interested in urban ecology and environmental issues. The events were held in two separate sessions, bringing together a total of 79 attendees. The first session took place on July 16, 2025, and was attended by 16 people. The second session was held on November 13, 2025, and welcomed 63 participants across three different groups. Organization and Logistics From an organizational standpoint, IWS invited participants through its own social media channels and those of the Eureca project. The invaluable support and outreach from their associated partner, Arrabal, was also instrumental in promoting the events. Both sessions were hosted at Arrabal’s facilities, which provided ease of access and allowed for the broadest possible capacity.  Event Agenda The agenda for the events included the following key points: Project Results Highlighted A significant portion of the presentation was dedicated to showcasing the Best Practices in urban ecology, which the consortium partners (from Spain, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Portugal) have compiled from their respective countries. The urban ecology training courses also played a prominent role in the presentations. The comprehensive training corpus includes the following courses: All courses were presented with support from the Eureca online platform (https://www.eurecaedu.eu/), highlighting its functionality and accessibility. Furthermore, participants were introduced to the Case Studies focusing on the transnational consortium meetings in Lisbon (Portugal), Torrecuso (Italy), and Chrudim (Czech Republic). Second Unity Europe Multiplier Event Engages Young Adults in Málaga to Showcase Project Results

Málaga, Spain – October 6, 2025 – On the same day as its first successful session, IT Solutions for All, together with the associated partner Arrabal-AID, organised a second UNITY EUROPE multiplier event at another Arrabal-AID training centre in Málaga. This event gathered 14 young adult participants enrolled in a Multifunctional Virtual Monitor training course, offering them an engaging introduction to the project’s innovative educational resources. During the session, facilitators presented the goals, activities and expected outcomes of the UNITY EUROPE project, an Erasmus+ KA2 initiative co-funded by the European Union. The project aims to enhance the social and professional integration of young immigrants (aged 18 to 30) in Europe by equipping them with essential skills and fostering active citizenship. A central feature of the event was the presentation of the UNITY EUROPE card game, which forms part of the project’s educational outputs. Participants were introduced to the game’s purpose, mechanics and use in non-formal learning environments. The card game generated lively discussion among attendees, who recognised its potential to encourage creativity, problem-solving and teamwork within their training pathway. Throughout the session, the group engaged in conversations on youth participation, inclusion, digital competences and collaborative learning, supported by the interactive format of the event.
