The NICHE 2 consortium gathered in Brussels for its Fourth Transnational Project Meeting (TPM IV), hosted by IHF – Institut de Haute Formation aux Politiques Communautaires at its premises.
The meeting brought together project partners from across Europe to review the progress achieved so far and coordinate the next steps towards the successful completion of NICHE 2 – Nurturing Intangible Cultural Heritage for Entrepreneurship. The project aims to strengthen the skills and competences of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) professionals and entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on the green and digital transition.
A key focus of the meeting was Work Package 4 – Pilot & Validation and Upgrade of the NICHE Platform. Partners discussed the implementation of the pilot activities, through which the NICHE 2 training resources are being tested and validated with representatives of the project target groups. The upgraded NICHE Platform plays a central role in this process, providing an accessible digital environment for training, networking and the exchange of knowledge and good practices among ICH practitioners and stakeholders.
Particular attention was also devoted to Work Package 5 – Exploitation and Valorisation, led by IHF, and to the long-term sustainability of the project results. One of its key achievements is the establishment of the NICHE 2 Network, designed to bring together organisations, professionals and stakeholders interested in Intangible Cultural Heritage, entrepreneurship, education and training, and the green and digital transition. The Network aims to foster cooperation, knowledge transfer, exchange of good practices and new opportunities for collaboration beyond the project consortium.
The NICHE 2 Network is open to interested organisations and stakeholders and is available here:
During the meeting, partners also coordinated the next steps towards the development and valorisation of the ICH Empowerment Guidelines and the NICHE 2 Manifesto, two key outputs designed to consolidate the lessons learned and support the exploitation and transferability of NICHE 2 results across Europe.
The Brussels meeting represented another important milestone for the consortium, strengthening cooperation among partners and paving the way for the final phase of NICHE 2 and the wider uptake of its results across the European ICH ecosystem.
